Time to say goodbye |

Moving on is always a moment for reflection, and looking back on my time with the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Acton Town Centre fills me with a great sense of pride. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to work alongside dedicated colleagues, supportive supervisors and committed partners who all share the same goal of making our communities safer and stronger.
I will shortly be leaving my current role and moving on to a new chapter. While I am excited about what lies ahead, it is difficult to leave a team and an area that has meant so much to me. My time on the SNT in Acton has been both professionally rewarding and personally memorable, and I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the role.
Working in neighbourhood policing provides a unique opportunity to build genuine relationships with the communities we serve. Throughout my time in Acton Town Centre, I have had the privilege of engaging with residents, businesses, community groups, schools and partner agencies, all of whom have helped shape the area and contributed towards positive outcomes. Whether dealing with long-term community concerns, tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting vulnerable individuals or working alongside partners to improve public safety, it has been incredibly rewarding to see the difference that dedicated neighbourhood policing can make.
As a result of moving on, I will also be bringing my Met Engage posts to an end. I have greatly enjoyed using the platform to highlight local policing activity, share crime prevention advice, promote community events and provide updates on the work being undertaken by the team. I hope the posts have helped strengthen communication between the police and the communities we serve.
Going forward, responsibility for Met Engage updates will pass to PC Weston, who remains a valued member of the Town Centre Policing Team, alongside our skippers. I have no doubt that the excellent work of keeping residents informed and engaged will continue, and I would encourage everyone to continue following their updates and supporting the team.
I will be working from now on as a Tutor Constable training new recruits. I am likely to be back in Acton so though I am leaving it won't be the end of my time here. | ||
